St. Paul, MN-based filmmaker Cortec Advanced Films Div. expands its Cambridge, MN, plant with a 17,000-sq-ft addition. The space will house the converter's new #21 blown-film extrusion line. This is the third addition to the plant since 1997 when it was acquired by Cortec Corp. CAFD manufactures advanced VpCI® corrosion-inhibiting films for customers worldwide.
P-s label converter York Label installs a new HP Indigo ws4000 digital press at its York, PA, headquarters plant to convert on-demand labels for its customer base of Fortune 500 companies. "The ws4000 press is an excellent complement to our existing press platforms," says Steve Riccardi, vp-technical services. "It will allow us to produce short-run orders in a more efficient manner."
Philadelphia-based Rohm and Haas Co. USA dedicated a new commercial-scale laminator during opening ceremonies Aug. 5 for its new Adhesives and Sealants Technical Ctr. in Taloja, India. The technical center houses the new Schiavi-Bobst Combi Coater, supplied by Bobst Group, Flexible Materials Business Unit. It will support R&D efforts of packaging and converting customers, end-users, and co-suppliers in India and throughout Asia.
