Norwalk, CT-based Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) completes its acquisition May 6 of RealTimeImage's Graphic Arts Div., giving converters and package printers access to a complete range of monitor and remote proofing options.
Green Bay, WI-based supplier Paper Converting Machine Co. will open a new 35,000-sq-ft, state-of-the-art demonstration center at its Glory Road facility this fall. The center will showcase nonwovens and flexographic machinery for customer inspection and use. Gearless presses will include a 50-in. Infiniti CI press, a 26-in. Evolution in-line press, and a new Vision-G narrow-web CI press.
Windham, ME-based supplier Schlumpf, Inc., upgrades its operation to better serve converting-industry customers. The company relocates to a new 5,300-sq-ft facility this month. The investment of nearly $500,000 will enable the provider of chucks, shafts, material-handling equipment, lifts and winders/unwinds to improve inventory control and increase storage space and process efficiency, Schlumpf says. Nilpeter A/S, a narrow-web pressmaker, recently opened its new US headquarters in Cincinnati. With 50,000 sq ft of manufacturing space and 7,000 sq ft of office and showroom space, the headquarters is ideally suited to showcase the company's product lines, Nilpeter says.
