The Board of Trustees of Central Piedmont Community College, Charlotte, NC, has changed the name of its 79-acre Southwest Campus to the "Harper Campus," in honor of Harper Corp. of America. The move recognizes Harper's dedication to flexographic education, and more specifically for the company's contributions to the flexo program at CPCC.
The Harper Campus houses the Harper National Flexographic Ctr., which teaches flexography to CPCC students and industry personnel. It is also host to the annual Intl. Phoenix Challenge High School Flexo Competition.
The CPCC board also established the "Ron and Katherine Harper Scholarship Fund," with preference to students studying flexography, students needing special financial assistance, and Harper Corp. employees and their children.
