AIMCAL elects new officers, directors

The Ft. Mill, SC-based Assn. of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators (AIMCAL) elects officers and directors for 2004-2005. The new officers are:
President: Paolo Raugei, executive vp of Galileo Vacuum Systems, Inc., East Granby, CT. Raugei has served on the AIMCAL Board of Directors since 1997, most recently as vp. His involvement with the association began in 1989 when he moved to the US for his current employer, which is headquartered in Prato, Italy. He has more than 20 years of experience in the vacuum coating and converting industry, including prior assignments in Europe and Asia.
Vice President: Bill Yoder, sales manager, of Industrial Products for Lamart Corp., Clifton, NJ. Yoder has been involved in the converting industry and an active member of AIMCAL for more than 34 years. He most recently served the group as treasurer and has been a member of AIMCAL's Membership Committee. In 1999 he received AIMCAL's President's Award for outstanding service.
Treasurer: Mike Engel, COO of FLEXcon, North America, Spencer, MA. Engel joined FLEXcon in 1982 as a lab technician, became quality supervisor in 1988, systems integrity manager in 1991, vp-performance products in 1994, and COO in 1998. He has served on the AIMCAL Board of Directors.
Past President: Frank Sereno, president of PROMA Technologies, Franklin, MA.
Newly elected directors include Matt Tielkemeier, converting industry marketing mgr. for Omron IDM Controls, Houston; and Gary Phillips, vp-sales and marketing for Bekaert Specialty Films LLC, San Diego, CA. n
