UK's Lancastrian Labels gets UV-flexo upgrade

Staff -- Converting Magazine, 12/1/2003

Lancastrian Labels & Print Ltd., Liverpool, England, achieves more efficient UV curing of flexo printing on film substrates via an upgrade of its operation from GEW Ltd., Redhill, UK. Using existing GEW power supplies and control units on the converter's 13-in. Gallus Arsoma flexo press, GEW replaced six original MD1 lampheads with its new VCP design, as well as added temperature controllers to the ventilation system for better heat management. The upgrade ensures that Lancastrian's sophisticated "no-label look" labels for the HBA and several other markets can be produced.
