The following information was inadvertently omitted from the Focus (Aug. 03, page 24): Integrated web-guide controllers: The ekrPRO series is engineered to simplify design integration of web-guiding systems into converting machines. Built on a modular open architecture using CANbus communications protocol, the system contains three building blocks. PROCom is the system commander. PRONet functions as a remote set of brains and an output device. The PROKey provides system control from remote as well as multiple locations. Benefits include optimal design flexibility, networking of many components and control of multiple webs from one central point, simple connection to PLCs, PCs or other BUS communications, and powerful, intelligent software which eliminates some previously required hardware.
