St. Johns Packaging buys W&H gearless CI press

Staff -- Converting Magazine, 10/1/2003

Canadian flex-pack marker St. Johns Packaging purchases a 10-color NOVOFLEX® flexographic printing press from Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corp. for its facility in Montreal, Quebec. While this is the 22nd 10-color CI-flexo press that Lincoln, RI-based W&H has supplied to North American customers, it is St. John's second 10-color gearless press, and its first purchase from W&H. St. Johns Packaging has been a major supplier to the North American flex-pack market since its inception in 1954. The company provides printed flexible films and bags for the food and personal-care product industries. The 52-in. wide NOVOFLEX is W&H's latest gearless, direct-drive press with infinitely variable repeat lengths, designed for rapid changeover time and consistent quality at high speeds.
