Applications Watch

By Staff -- Converting Magazine, 5/1/2003

Converter APCO/AD Films placed an order on the first day of CMM Intl. 2003 for an additional Titan SR7 slitter/re-winder to complement the machine it installed in 2001, from Valmet Converting. The SR7 is reportedly the market leader in twin-shaft technology.

Folding-carton maker Inland Paperboard and Packaging and graphic-arts trade shop Art Lithocraft are the first North American companies to purchase the new CDI Advance digital-flexographic CTP platesetter from Esko-Graphics, Vandalia, OH. The Inland installation is part of a major prepress equipment upgrade for the converter's 60,000-sq-ft Graphic Resources Ctr. in Indianapolis. Kansas City, MO-based Art Lithocraft purchased the CDI Advance off the show floor. Also, OH-based paperboard-packaging converter Lewisburg Container Co. commissions the first North American installation of a DCM short-run digital diecutting machine from Esko-Graphics.
