Flex-pack converter CLP wins three NJPEC design awards

Staff -- Converting Magazine, 1/1/2003

Flexible-packaging manufacturer CLP Packaging Solutions of Fairfield, NJ, and Kibbutz Negba, Israel, captured three awards in the recent New Jersey Packaging Executives Club (NJPEC) annual packaging competition. The awards include:

First place in the Food and Beverage category for its clear retort pouch for Sainsbury's rice; second place in the Promotional category for eye-catching sample packaging for Clinique Moisture Surge cream gel; and an honorable mention in Food and Beverage for its 5-lb vented pouches for Dallis Brothers Coffee.

"The clear retort pouch for Sainsbury is a remarkable technological achievement, while the Clinique pouch is technologically simple but represents an innovative, cost-saving way that a leading manufacturer is catching consumers' eyes in an extremely competitive business," notes CLP representative Liesl Kielp. "And the people at Dallis Brothers Coffee have worked with us to combine form and function in a pouch that provides a rich sensory experience from the moment someone feels the foil-lined packaging."

CLP is a leading converter of flexible packaging, offering a full range of multilayered packaging, gravure and flexo printing, and technology features such as Easy-Tear, peelable laminates, retortable packaging and MAP/CAP packaging.
