Respondents to New York-based TrendWatch Graphic Arts recent "Packaging 101" study report that, for the most part, their folding-carton and label converting volumes were on the rise over the past 12 months. Few labelmakers said their work had declined, while nearly 30 percent of label printers said their workload increased. Microwaveable packaging was cited as a breakthrough market for carton converters.
