Moplefan Group S.p.A. (Italy) agrees Oct. 30 to acquire the Trespaphan Group from German chemicals maker Celanese AG. The union will result in a global producer of PP films with about 10 percent worldwide market share, the companies say. The combined businesses will have an annual production capacity of 250,000 metric tons and annual sales of about $505 million.
