Labelexpo Americas 2002 broadens horizon
More than just a subtle name change, Labelexpo Americas expands its geographic scope as the showcase for the narrow-web industry.

It's time again for the latest developments in labels and all other narrow-web converting processes. The newly named Labelexpo Americas 2002, set for September 10-12 at the Stephens Convention Ctr., in Rosemont, IL, broadens its horizons this year. Out of the latest tally of 450 exhibitors, 65 are said to be exhibiting for the first time. And converting professionals from more than 60 countries are expected to attend.
According to organizer Tarsus Expositions and Publishing, this eighth biennial event will be the platform for innumerable product launches from leading press manufacturers such as Mark Andy, PCMC, and Nilpeter. Other new product unveilings during the three-day event are planned by Husson, ETI, Dow Corning, MacDermid Printing Solutions, and Kolorcure.

Finger firmly on industry's pulseAs in previous years, Labelexpo will focus on all the cutting-edge developments from around the industry, including quality improvement systems, servo presses, and digital printing. Materials on display range from new films and synthetic papers to those designed for security/brand protection applications.
A major feature of Labelexpo Americas 2002 remains the extensive conference program, organized in part by TLMI. This year it incorporates 28 individual sessions. Among the presentations are, "What's Driving the Changes in Product Decorating," "Narrow Web Opportunities Beyond Pressure Sensitive," "Profit Planning" and "Value Added Applications - Enhancing the Value of Labels."
