Your Labelexpo Americas "To Do" List

Labelexpo Americas 2002 is a "must attend" event for anyone involved with any phase of label converting. It's the best opportunity over the next two years to measure the health and vitality of the p-s roll-label industry.

For years, the label and narrow web field was considered just another fuzzy segment within the enormous printing and converting market. The p-s label industry's continued growth (some estimates show 6-7 percent annually) has earned it a well-defined niche within printing and converting. About 450 exhibitors will fill the entire Stephens Convention Ctr. to display their narrow-web goods and services.

Why attend the show? Your reasons may not necessarily be the same as even your colleague down the hall. But here's a start:

  • To learn what's new in face stocks, adhesives, release systems, liners, inks and coatings
  • To search for technological innovation in any or all of these areas
  • To investigate printing presses, converting systems and finishing equipment
  • To seek help with current operational problems
  • To make first-hand comparisons of competitive materials or machines on your wish list
  • To establish contacts with suppliers, potential suppliers, accessory manufacturers and competitors
  • To attend several conference sessions (organized by TLMI) to learn the latest trends and label-converting business tactics
  • To renew old acquaintances with industry members
  • To confirm or refocus your direction and objectives based on the industry image you can formulate at the show.

Whatever your reasons for attending Labelexpo Americas, be sure to wear comfortable shoes, and remember to have a little fun. After all, this IS Chicago.
