FSEA calls for Gold Leaf Awards entries
Staff -- Converting Magazine, 7/1/2002
The Foil Stamping & Embossing Assn., Topeka, KS, calls for entries to its 10th annual FSEA Gold Leaf Awards Competition. Promoting excellence in foil stamping and embossing, the annual competition is open to both FSEA members and non-members alike. "Superior work reflects positively on the entire industry," says Jeff Peterson, FSEA executive director.
Comprised of several categories, entries are judged on three basic criteria: design (creativity), execution (technical excellence) and level of difficulty. Foil stamped and/or embossed entries may be submitted in the following converted-product categories: greeting cards, folding cartons, rotary labels, rotary cartons, rotary cold-foil labels or cartons, best use of hot-stamped holographic foil, best use of ink over hot-stamping foil, and "other."
One 'gold leaf', one 'silver leaf,' and one 'bronze leaf' will be awarded in each category, with a Best of Show chosen from all the 'gold leaf' recipients. Winners will be honored at an awards banquet on Feb. 15, 2003, during the FSEA annual Convention in New Orleans.
