Serial-bus converters

A new line of Serial Bus Protocol Converters is said to deliver comprehensive web-guiding information using ControlNet, DeviceNet, or Ethernet serial-bus communication. The SBPC-20 products allow converters to control Fife guiding equipment from one centrally located panel through an existing network. SBPC-20 technology eliminates excessive wiring and provides PC configuration resulting in faster setups and increased line efficiency. The SBPC-20 family of Protocol Converters enable the Fife CDP-01 guiding processor to transmit and receive up to 64 data blocks of 16-bit guide-related information to a ControlNet, DeviceNet, or Ethernet bus, with serial communication speeds from 500 Kbaud up to 10 Mbaud. Lightweight air shaft

Low-inertia, lightweight rolls

Constant tension system

The BZS 3 control is designed to maintain constant unwinding and winding tension for mechanical winders. It consists of a sensor for non-contact scanning and measuring of the roll lap or reel diameter and a control module. The unwinder must be fitted with a pneumatic brake, or the winder must be fitted with a pneumatic slip clutch. The control module converts the electric signal into an analogue pressure signal to produce the required pneumatic pressure for the brake or slip clutch to maintain the constant tension, which is adjustable.

Core chuck system

Pneumatic brake controller

This manual pneumatic controller is an all-pneumatic device with no electrical components. Three pneumatic solenoids channel air flow to one, two or three brakes or brake cylinders. Two-position toggle switches are used to turn each output channel on and off. An adjustable regulator knob and air pressure gage on the controller's front panel allows the machine operator to change the output pressure to a desired level in real time.
