Roll-fed slitter

Features shaftless unwind

Designed to process difficult materials, a new roll-fed slitter/rewinder system both slits and sheets rolls weighing up to 8,000 lbs, using a shaftless unwind to provide for fast roll changeovers. Material is slit, accumulated through controlled-gravity loops to restrict material stretching, and then cut using a gap-shear method. A gripper/stacker automatically handles sheets for later use; the operator only has to load the roll, adjust sheet length and slit width, and unload finished goods.

QC rheometer

Low-cost alternative for labs

The YR-1 Yield Rheometer is said to be easy-to-operate and can be a low-cost alternative to complicated lab systems. Ideal for measuring the yield stress behavior of most materials, the unit is used in the QC lab or even right on the production floor. Technicians can make quick, repeatable QC tests with minimal training. Test results are displayed as a single yield-stress number.
