Web-handling, critical thinking in converting seminars planned

Two seminars organized by industry expert and Converting technical contributing editor David R. Roisum are planned for this fall in Atlanta.
In "Web Handling and Converting: An Applications Seminar for Webs of All Types," converters will learn how to reduce waste and increase productivity. Course contents include web handling, tension, guiding, materials, rollers, spreaders, wrinkling, runnability, nips, slitting, winding and problem-solving. It will be held Oct. 29-30.
"Critical Thinking in Web Handling" is an applications seminar in problem solving. Topics include logic, creativity, brainstorming, problem definition, determining options, decisionmaking, project planning, pitfalls and group exercises. It will be held Oct. 31-Nov. 1.
