Folding carton gluer uses modular design

The Diana PRO 74-94-114 series of high-speed folding carton gluers are of modular design, available in 29, 37 and 45 in. working widths. This series is capable of handling all types of cartons ranging from straight-line cartons, lock-bottom cartons, 4 and 6 corner collapsible boxes to double-wall cartons with single and double fold. This line has a longer folding and transfer station as well as a special squaring unit, which allows for blank alignment to the left or right, mounted behind the feeder with its own servo drive. Make-ready times are said to be reduced with the new positioning system, which allows the machine to be set up automatically, semi-automatically or manually.

The SuperGluer® is designed to mechanically run at over 2,300 belt ft/min. with less maintenance and downtime than conventional gluers. This machine is adaptable to practically any straight line application. The Alpina folder/gluer includes the Gyrobox module capable of folding a blank in any direction in a single pass. It is available in 30, 43 or 52 in. wide. The Alpina line is available in thirty machine configurations, and is said to provide the flexibility needed to adapt itself to all production needs. The Gyrobox pivoting module can turn a blank up to 180 deg without stopping. It performs the job of a right-angle machine, but inline.

The vertical buckle fold unit is a patented design that prevents crows feet on thick stocks by maintaining a sheet path that does not force a sheet around a small diameter fold roller.
