Battenfeld Gloucester ships first TSLs
Staff -- Converting Magazine, 4/1/2002
Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik of Germany, a sister company to Mass.-based Battenfeld Gloucester that was formed two years ago, recently shipped its first modular Thermoforming Sheet Lines (TSL). Two U.S.-made TSLs reportedly went to a customer in Mexico, while a third was delivered to a Taiwanese converter in February. Standardized machinery modules reduce engineering time and component cost, but are flexible enough to be adapted to a customer's specific needs for additional components or line extensions. Ranging from monolayer to 7-layer sheet, the TSL runs PP, PS and PET.
