Several technologically advanced flexible-packaging concepts received top honors in the FPA's 2001 Achievement Awards competition. Chosen from among 64 entries, 18 packages received 23 awards in this year's program and were honored March 1 at the group's annual meeting.
The awards recognize packaging and converting excellence across a range of the flex-pack field, including packaging excellence, technical innovation, and environmental and printing achievement in three classifications: retail, institutional and industrial products.
For 2001, two Highest Achievement Award Winners were named. They are the AirLiner® from product manufacturer Cargotech and Nestle's® Buitoni® Fresh Pasta, entered by film converter Cryovac, Inc., a subsidiary of Sealed Air Corp. Nine Gold Awards and 11 Silver Awards were also bestowed.
