Axess Corp., Greenville, Del., forms Ajedium Film Group, Inc. The new subsidiary, which specializes in manufacturing high-performance plastic films, is expected to begin production in the second quarter of 2002.

Based in Newark, Del., Ajedium's plant and warehouse occupies 25,000 sq ft, including areas for twin-screw compounding and pelletization, flat-die extrusion and an analytical lab for testing and evaluation of developmental resins.

Axess Corp. president Richard J. Giacco says Ajedium's focus will be the production and marketing of specialty films for major end users in the aerospace, electronics, medical and semiconductor industries.
