Rochester Hills, Mich.-based Bernal Technologies installs a new 32-in. high-speed rotary diecutter and delivery system at Dover Cup in Toronto, Ont., Canada. The system is inline with a flexo printing press to produce cup blanks and general folding cartons. Dover anticipates improvement in production, quality and scrap rates.

Converter Smurfit-Stone Container Corp., Chicago, purchases a new Prinergy® Powerpack workflow management system created by Creo, Vancouver, B.C., especially for packaging converters. "The Prinergy® Powerpack workflow will give designated folding carton plant in Smurfit-Stone's Consumer Packaging division the opportunity to become more efficient in managing graphics," says Ron Goelz, manufacturing manager of the division.
