Making Change

Staff -- Converting Magazine, 1/1/2002

POP-display converter Advertising Display Co., Inc. is bought by Norcross, Ga.-based Rock-Tenn Co. As a maker of packaging products, merchandising displays and recycled paperboard, Rock-Tenn acquires ADC's display assembly operations in Memphis, Tenn., and will employ approximately 75 former ADC employees. The acquisition did not include ADC's manufacturing facility in Kettering, Ohio, or the corporate offices in Lindhurst, N.J.

Milwaukee-based converting machinery maker Dri-Tec Inc. acquires Richmond Industrial Corp., Richmond, Va., a supplier of high-speed, wide-web and foil applications, on Dec. 11. With a division in Nashville, Tenn., that specializes in service, rebuilds and installation, Dri-Tec can fully support and enhance Richmond's customers while expanding technical solutions.
