Agfa expands Branchburg digital-plate plant

Staff -- Converting Magazine, 1/1/2002

Ridgefield Park, N.J.-based Agfa's newly expanded plate-manufacturing facility went online last fall, producing its first run of Agfa digital plates, which are used for computer-to-plate imaging. According to plant manager Jeff Aurichio, tests showed an exceptional imaging surface and better than expected results for the first runs. To commemorate the new production line, Robert Stabler, president of Agfa Graphic Systems U.S., hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Shown (left to right) are Stabler; Heikki Koskimies, president and CEO Agfa Corp.; Wilfried Beck, senior vice president Photo Chemical Production US; and Aurichio.
