Gorman exits Natl. Paperbox Assn.; group won't merge with PPC
Staff -- Converting Magazine, 12/1/2001
The Alexandria, Va.-based National Paperbox Assn. announced Nov. 1 that its president, Micky Gorman, left the association to pursue other opportunities. "We thank Mickey for his contribution to the association and to the paperbox industry during his tenure as president," says Pete Traeger, NPA chairman of the board.
In other news, the NPA and the Paperboard Packaging Council recently completed a joint Fall Leadership Meeting in Las Vegas. The two groups will continue working together on projects but have no merger plans. "Both associations have many common areas to work together, and will successfully, but the NPA membership prefers to keep its separate identity," says Traegar.
