Roll handling

Reduces back injuries

A new two-station Rotating Roll Handling device, the Rol-handlR, is for rolls weighing up to 2,000 lbs. The dual lift stations, with two pivot points, allow a roll to be readily maneuvered into true vertical and true horizontal positions. These help eliminate damage to roll edges, allowing rolls to be securely and safely placed in the desired positions.

Wireless coater bar

Creates thread forms on substrates

The OSG D-Bar uses unusual roll-forming technology to create thread forms on various materials without using traditional wire wrapping. A range of shapes and pitches can be made including standard waves, long-life W forms, flat-bottomed P forms and wire-type R forms. The D-Bar reportedly gives better control of the amount of solution to be coated, no pitch error between bumps and a longer working life without wire-cut problems. Dimensions offered: up to 322 in. long, diameters from 0.16-2.0 in., and pitches down to 1/500 in.

Imaging blanket

Replaces foam tape

Designed to provide repeatable print performance throughout the press run, the new Imaging-Blankit is a drop-in replacement for foam tape. The sheet of elastomeric material is sized to fit around the printing cylinder or sleeve and minimizes high and low spots that may cause poor print. Imaging-Blankit acts as a shock absorber and cushions directly or indirectly under a flexographic printing plate to compensate for variations in thickness, height and centricity of the cylinder. Unlike sticky back tapes, Blankit is a semi-permanent solution, not disposable.

Web spreader

For broad applications

Spreader bars are used in broad applications to remove wrinkles from webs. The spreaders offer advantages that bowed rollers do not. They function at very low web tensions so that thin or fragile webs don't stretch. Web tracking is eliminated because they are not moving.
