TLMI elects officers; inducts directors, 14 new members

The Naperville, Ill.-based Tag & Label Mfrs. Institute elected officers, board members and inducted 14 new member companies at its annual meeting Oct. 9 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Mike Dowling, president of CL&D Graphics, Oconomowoc, Wis., was re-elected president of the trade association serving the tag and label marketplace. Jim Valestrino, special projects manager for Los Angeles Label Co., Commerce, Calif., was re-elected president-elect; and John Bankson, president/chief executive officer of Label Technology, Inc., Merced, Calif., was chosen vice president.
Converter members elected to three-year terms on the TLMI Board of Directors were Bob Biava, president of Driscoll Label Co., Fairfield, N.J.; Walter Dow, president of Dow Industries, Wilmington, Mass.; and Scott Pillsbury, president of Rose City Label Co., Portland, Ore.
Ferd. Rüesch Jr., president of Gallus, Inc., Philadelphia, was elected to a three-year term as a supplier representative to the TLMI board.
Fourteen companies gain membership in TLMI at the group's annual meeting. New converter members include Logotech, Inc., Fairfield, N.J.; Macaran Printing, Cohoes, N.Y.; Metro Label, Scarborough, Ont., Canada; Quality Assured Label, Minnetonka, Minn.; and Stixon Labels, Albuquerque, N.M.
New supplier members are API Foils, Lawrence, Kan.; Bielomatik, New Hudson, Mich.; BPX Films, Houston; CCG; Shaker Heights, Ohio; Contract Converting, Greenville, Wis.; DIP Co., Bloomington, Minn.; Nireco America, Port Jervis, N.Y.; Smart Papers, Hamilton, Ohio; and Tailored Solutions, Milwaukee.
For more than 68 years, TLMI has offered tag and label manufacturing executives and industry suppliers a forum for the exchange of ideas, information and education. TLMI also provides members with an opportunity to obtain reliable industry statistics.
