John Bankson, president and chief executive officer of Label Technology Inc., Merced, Calif., was honored Oct. 9 as Converter of the Year by the Naperville, Ill.-based Tag & Label Mfrs. Institute. He was recognized during the group's annual meeting in Scottsdale, Ariz. The event drew about 325 label-converting professionals.
Bankson, who founded Label Technology 15 years ago with just three employees and has since grown it into a thriving $13.5 million company, was chosen for both his business success and his commitment to TLMI, where he currently serves as vice president.
"I'm obviously honored and grateful," Bankson says. "It's an honor and a privilege to be a part of this group, and I'm very grateful for the success that we've had."
