Auto-sleeve changeover

For CI-flexo presses

Introduced at the recent Converflex Europe fair, the new Axioma 8 Millennium CNC sleeve-changeover system is fully automatic, computerized and allows the operator to fully disengage it from the CI-flexo press to continuously run the machine in manual mode, if necessary. More than 1,000 job setups can be memorized, including the functions of unwinding/winding tension, tunnel and color temperature settings, longitudinal and transverse register positions and printing pressure. Register can be regulated when the press is not running, thus avoiding production waste. In demonstrations, the machine started new jobs with only 33 ft of film waste.

Magnetic cylinders & bases

Cuts cost

Permanent cylinders and bases eliminate the need for conventional mounting materials and much of the labor that goes with them. The powerful permanent magnets embedded in the co.'s cylinders and flat bases grip steel-backed plates and dies, holding them firmly in place so that they stay in register even during high-speed press runs. Conventional plates can be mounted on steel carriers or held in place by an optional Fast-Lock cylinder lock-up system. Changeovers are fast and significantly reduce normal makeready times for both bases and cylinders. The flat bases and cylinders are built to OEM press specifications. Construction is either stainless steel or a patented design made from economical carbon steel.
