Parkinson Technologies to expand again
Staff -- Converting Magazine, 9/1/2001
Converting-machinery maker Parkinson Technologies expands its Woonsocket, R.I., plant for the third time since 1995. From a 50,000 sq ft facility, the company added onto the plant in 1999 and 2000 to occupy 80,000 sq ft. The newest expansion, expected to be complete by October, adds another 20,000 sq ft.
Space will be provided for the Marshall and Williams Plastics Laboratory, which is currently located in Providence. Parkinson acquired M&W Plastics Div., manufacturers of film orientation machinery, this spring. Parkinson specializes in winders and other web-handling products for the plastics, nonwovens and paper industries.
