Hans Peetz-Larsen, chief executive officer of Heidelberg Americas, is named the recipient of the National Assn. of Printing Leadership's Soderstrom Award. He will receive the award at the NAPL annual dinner in Chicago on Sept. 8. Named for the late Walter E. Soderstrom, an NAPL founder, the award honors someone who contributes to the development and progress of the printing industry.
Entrance figures collected on the basis of new standards show a record 55,000 visitors attending both the co-located Converflex Europe and Grafitalia 2001 trade fairs in Milan, Italy. The numbers, which do not include visitors moving between the two exhibitions, is reportedly 5 percent higher than the last event in 1998, says show organizer Centrexpo Spa.

The HDFC comprises equipment manufacturers, consumables suppliers, and printing service providers/converters who are dedicated to promoting the advantages and technological advances of flexography to print buyers. Avery Dennison's Fasson brand p-s and non-adhesive coated papers, films and foils in roll form are used for the converting of labels and consumer products.
