The Assn. of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters & Laminators, Ft. Mill, S.C., and the Polymers, Laminations and Coatings Div. of Atlanta-based TAPPI are working on cooperative efforts that will benefit the two organizations. AIMCAL's involvement during the PLC Technical Conference August 26-30 at the Sheraton Hotel and Marina in San Diego is the first such effort.

AIMCAL president David Fletcher and executive director Craig Sheppard will participate at the conference, and AIMCAL will have its own tabletop display, following the New Technology Showcase on August 27.

Along with opportunities for members of both groups to participate in each other's technical conferences, future plans call for technical paper exchanges. "Technical conference chairs will review the programs of the respective conferences and work with designated members to bring interesting papers," says Dick Campbell of the TAPPI-PLC Committee.
