"Too Big To Fail" author to keynote FPA annual meeting
New York Times reporter Andrew Sorkin joins consultant Chunka Mui, retailer Meijer manager Tim Wilson as top speakers at March 10-12 event.

The Flexible Packaging Association will host its 2010 Annual Meeting, March 10-12 at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando, FL. The event will combine great networking events with industry-focused education sessions for FPA members and guests.The 2010 Annual Meeting will include keynote presentations from Andrew Sorkin, The New York Times' chief mergers and acquisitions reporter and author of Too Big to Fail: How Wall Street and Washington Fought to Save the Financial System - and Themselves; Chunka Mui, a business consultant and best-selling author of Billion-Dollar Lessons, What You Can Learn from the Most Inexcusable Business Failures of the Last 25 Years; and, Tim Wilson, development manager for Meijer, who will discuss "Buying Trends" from the Retailers' Perspective. Tim will share how retailers are taking control of their private-label packaging and examine new business opportunities for packaging suppliers.
During the meeting attendees will also hear from Thomas Blaige, chairman and CEO of Blaige & Co., who will discuss global packaging mergers and acquisitions; Nick Vafiadis of CMAI who will provide an Update on Flexible Packaging Materials' Cost and Availability; John Baumann, president and CEO, Ampac Packaging, LLC and incoming FPA chairperson, who will preview the 2010 FPA State of the Flexible Packaging Industry Report; and, Stephan Glimm, FPE executive director, who will discuss the European flexible packaging industry.
The Annual Meeting provides FPA members and guests with great networking opportunities among industry leaders and peers during several Annual Meeting events including the FPA Achievement Awards Dinner featuring The Water Coolers (Wednesday, March 10), the FPA Annual Meeting Golf Tournament (Thursday, March 11), and the FPA Annual Meeting Reception and Dinner featuring the Paradise band (Friday, March 12).
