Dura-Fibre, LLC has acquired certain assets of the Columbus, IN, laminating paperboard operation of RockTenn. Products include durable woodgrain panels and drawer bottoms made with 100% recycled paperboard. The furniture parts are then sold to ready-to-assemble furniture manufacturers.
This acquisition supports the growth strategy in place at Dura-Fibre since the purchase of the company from Menasha Corp. in 2003. Dura-Fibre president Brian Dunsirn comments, "We are excited to welcome the former RockTenn converting customers and look forward to servicing their needs from our expanded Wisconsin facility."
Several converting assets will be relocated to Wisconsin from RockTenn's Columbus facility. "We have hired key RockTenn managers from Columbus, added 30 new positions plus transitioned to a 24/7 operation, allowing us to continue the excellent service and quality customers valued from RockTenn," adds Dunsirn.
Dura-Fibre creates industrial packaging solutions and heavyweight folding-carton materials used in a wide variety of functional performance and packaging applications. Dura-Fibre, LLC is headquartered in Menasha, WI, and is part of the Dunsirn Partners LLC group of companies.
