Green Printers
The Top 20 Printers list represents the largest purchasers among printing partners within EPA's Green Power Partnership. The combined green power purchases of these printing firms amounts to nearly 148 million kilowatt-hours of green power annually. Printers can qualify by using any combination of three different product options (1) Renewable Energy Certificates, (2) On-site generation, and (3) Utility green-power products.
The Green Power Partnership works with a wide variety of organizations, but highlights printers as a major sector—along with local government, federal government, colleges and universities, and retailers. These green power purchases made by the printers helps reduce the environmental impacts of electricity use and supports the development of new renewable generation capacity nationwide, says EPA. Purchase amounts reflect US operations only and are sourced from US-based green power resources. Click here for the complete list.
