Brückner Formtec GmbH (www.brueckner.de) delivers a 4.8-meter-wide, cast-polypropylene (CPP) film-extrusion line (above) to PT Plasindo Lestari, a leading flexible-packaging converter in Indonesia. Once installed, the 13,500-metric-tons/yr. line is expected to be operational in April 2008.
Along with this investment, Brückner Formtec is in charge of delivery and commissioning of a new proprietary gravure press and a lamination machine for PT Plasindo Lestari. That start-up is also planned for April. The converter specializes in PP woven-mesh bags.
Equipped with an integrated pull-roll system comprising thickness gauge, oscillating edge trim that is synchronized with the winder and a corona treater with post-cooling rolls, direct drives and automatic film tension control, the CPP film line features the supplier's most advanced technology.
