ISO Poly Films installs two W&H coex-film lines

VAREX units in 3- and 5-layer configurations support company growth.

PRESS RELEASE -- Converting Magazine, 6/18/2009 12:45:00 PM

Substrate provider ISO Poly Films of Gray Court, SC, has acquired two additional blown-film extrusion lines from Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corp.

The newly installed high-output, 5-layer VAREX® line has a 63” working width and Filmatic S dual surface winder, including the patented MULTICOOL® D stacked double air ring with OPTIFIL® P3 gauge control system. The 3-layer 110” VAREX® line with grooved feed extruders (90.30/120.30/90.30D), a 25” OPTIFIL® P2 die, and Filmatic® T dual turret winder is expected to be running in late summer.

“It’s important to continue investing in the growth of our company and increase our capabilities and capacity to produce specialty films that deliver the quality and performance our customers expect from ISO,” commented Jon McClure, Founder and President of ISO Poly Films. "The new three-layer and five-layer co-extrusion lines from W&H are vital to our growth and provide the latest technology to manufacture advanced films with superior quality and complex structures for the markets we serve."
